Reactive Dog Seminar
November 24th, 2024 9am-3pm
Do you have a dog that is full of energy and has difficulty calming down or regulating their energy? Does your dog react to other dogs and people by barking and/or lunging?
This workshop will focus on owner/handler education, teaching your dog impulse regulation as well as helping your dog find their calm in every day situations.
This class is best suited for dogs who:
- Lack socialization
- React to people, dogs, etc.
- Hyper focus and react to distractions and fast movements
- Anxious or unable to settle and relax
- Bossy and pushy with other dogs
This workshop will cover:
- Understanding your dog’s threshold level
- Advocating for your dog
- Body language
- Leash handling
- How to set boundaries and be your dog’s leader
- Calming exercises and more!!!

Off Leash Reliability E-Collar Workshop (Beginner Level)
December 7th, 2024 9am-3pm
This workshop will focus on effective communication between you and your dog while providing them the skills they require for off leash reliability.
The following topics will be covered:
- The stigma around electronic collars
- Benefits and disadvantages to the collar
- Body language and effective communication
- Leash handling skills
- We will discuss your dog’s individual needs and goals
- Teaching impulse control
- How to create and maintain a proper training record
- Recall, Place, Heel, Opposition Reflex and more!
Please note, we do not use electronic collars for punishment and will not tolerate any one else using them in that manner.
We strive to build a positive relationship and association with the collar as we do with leashes etc. This allows us to train and pair the e-collar with the leash so you can eventually unleash your dog but still maintain control using the collar instead of a leash or long line.
We recommend E-Collar Technologies Mini Educator as it is the collar we use. Benefits are: 2 year warranty, water proof, vibrate, stim, audible, light, 1/2 mile range and more.
We are offering a discount to clients for this workshop. Regular retail price is $359+hst, We will be selling them for $300+hst with customized colour preference for transmitter and collar.
